I’ve been in about 5 major car accidents and a fall off a swing onto my arm in my day among a series of emotional trauma events. I am 43 now and have lived the majority of my life with an insane amount of pain.
I remember in high school, my shoulder killed me just for wearing a denim jacket. I remember waking up in the middle of the night to my calf muscles literally flipping over (worst pain ever) and never recovering.
Turns out, on top of the injuries, I have Ehler’s Danlos/hypermobile joints.
I have done just about everything to try and heal myself. Diet, stretching, all the exercises, machines, you name it.
With all of the injuries and hyper mobility, I live in extreme pain. After my last car accident in 2019, my jaw, shoulder and ear jolted out of place and I have had fluttering and itching in my ear since.
I ordered these Myofascial Release Tools from Amazon after seeing a video online with someone using one. I can’t stop using it!!!!
The little metal one is coming with me to work. I stand all day, no sitting, and ache by the end of my shift and maybe this can help ease some tension during my breaks.
Fascia is a network of cartilage throughout your body. Take a gander at the screenshot of Google ->
What this tool does is release the fascia. Apparently it isn’t supposed to be hard and crunchy-it is supposed to be more jelly-like similar to an octopus. Studies have shown that releasing your fascia can aid in countless health benefits; mainly weight loss and pain relief.
