May 15 Spa Level Infrared Sauna Experience at Home

I know we aren’t all blessed to have Infrared Saunas in fact, it’s probably near 1% of the population….but maybe you are looking at purchasing one (mine was less than $500) or you use a public one and you are interested in my bonus tips. If so, you are in the right place :)

Here is the Infrared Sauna I have purchased:

What I like to do is fold two towels and sit on the pad on the ground of the sauna; it comes with a chair, but the chair bruised my legs (I have weird skin) and I like sitting on the ground anyways. There is a foot warmer so it makes a nice spot to sit on under the towels.

Next, I have talked about the benefits of Castor Oil before (see post) but specifically in the sauna, I put castor oil on my back and stomach, specifically in the belly button and wrap up with a sweat belt (here). I also put castor oil in my hair (growth benefits) and on my face (anti aging benefits).

In the sauna I like to have a gua sha tool (here) to help smooth out any pain or tension. I also like to use essential oils for an aromatherapy session at the same time. I try and not bring my devices in and focus on trying to think about nothing while turning on Solfeggio Frequencies for 30 minutes. I can do another post about the benefits of those; in short, our bodies are mostly energy…we are surrounded by by negative energy and tuning our brains with the use of the proper frequency can create a healing environment.

I try and last 30-45 minutes or until my heart says no more. I do this routine about 3 times a week depending on scheduling. I alternate with an epsom salt bath. Another bonus tip, start your sauna routine with an inversion table and hang upside down for a few minutes and then do a wiggler machine (vibration plate) for 15 minutes beforehand. But I get it, who has all that?….

I almost forgot, don’t forget to HYDRATE! I bring 40oz of Alkaline Water in the sauna with me in my Stanley
